Blue Mango

Blue Mango are Iain Sim (vocals/keyboards), David Sim (guitar/vocals) and Chris Hansell (vocals/guitar). Widely regarded as Scotland's finest wedding band, they play pop from the 60's to current chart, big band, swing and ceilidh.

David is a music graduate who has taught guitar at Strathclyde University, broadcast on Radio Scotland and played with Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) and Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue).

Iain is a law graduate who has broadcast on Radio Scotland and played with many well known artists, including Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) and Bill McCue. Most recently David and Iain have been writing and producing chart music for Scottish based When in Rome Productions.

Chris is a talented and versatile guitarist who has performed in Scotland's most prestigious venues. In demand for session work throughout the country, he most recently performed in a sell-out run of the Queen musical "We Will Rock You".

The band has vast experience of weddings, playing around fifty receptions each year. Past clients include Hearts FC, Kilmarnock FC, Scot Nursing Ltd, NHS Scotland and Greggs Ltd. The band has twice headlined NLC's flagship fireworks extravaganza at Strathclyde Park for an audience of over 70,000 and featured in the BBC's primetime show "Wedding Stories 2"! More>>>
